First big Euro upset?

"public" has been cashing this tourney like no other major int'l event I can remember since the favs have all cashed or, at the very worst, grabbed a draw.

so what will be the first decent dog to win?

doubt Turkey can win without best MF and 2 central DF though the price is generous at +250

croatia was outplayed by the worst team in the tourney so I have little faith they can grab more than a draw

austria were impressive in their loss so leaning to them at +250

romania are very strong in defense and have an excellent striker but the italians know Mutu and doubt they'll let him beat them...plus Italy always starts slow and then gets rolling

I'm going with Austria to be the first big dog to win

there absolutely WILL be an upset within these first two rounds. guys can't just keep pointing to the fav and cashing...doesn't happen like that

don't be fooled, Austria are rubbish and Poland didn't play that poorly against Germany. First, and probably only, upset in round 1 will be Romania beating either Italy or Dutch. Have to watch out for 3rd games though if a team is already through, Spain almost lost to Saudis in WC in a situation like that.

was a very small upset. Dutch were in the +185 area not +250 or higher as I am looking for

Romania over Italy or Croatia over Germany would certainly qualify but don't see it happening. My best guess is Austria but we'll see. I'd probably give Romania a better shot at the upset than Croatia

personally i dont see many this tourney...romania has the best chance in my opinion, italy has to start Gildarino or Del peiro to score...Luca just stands there waiting for service

Yeah, those Greece 04 things happen once in 50 years :lol: But Romania has the best chance to beat out France/Italy out of the group. Croatia is doesnt have the scoring ability to surprise strong teams...

Gilardino isn't on the squad. What they need to do is start DeRossi and either Perotta or Aquilani instead of Ambrosini and Gattuso.
